A serious silting that happened in the Opak River in RW 01 Tambora Urban Village, West Jakarta, causing mud and trash piles. As a result, the river area is often overflowed and inundate citizen homes during rainy season.

Heri Susanto, a citizen of RT 11/01 Tambora Urban Village, Tambora Sub-District, West Jakarta, said the river as wide as 10 meters had been dredged 8 years ago. Unluckily, it is no longer done until now.
“If the river overflows, our village could be inundated up to 1 meter. Moreover, this river water is connecting with Cideng River. If Cideng River is open, water will drown us,” he said, Tuesday (3/10).
